The scaled and mobile ruler allows you to navigate through the score and to place the notes in the right place. The tool bar and the five floating palettes provide easy access to the most common features. If you don't want to see the musical notation stave, it can be hidden for full screen tablature editing. Any changes in the tab are reflected in the stave (and vice-versa). You can enter notes in either the stave or the tab. Each one displays the score with its own specific features and limitations (fingering and special effects in the tab, details on note duration and dynamics in the stave). In standard mode, the main screen is divided in two parts the upper part shows the stave, and the lower part shows the tablature. TablEdit manages up to 16 instruments from 3 to 7 strings. TablEdit includes a basic chord builder which allows you to edit customized chords diagrams. Files can be saved in TablEdit format or exported to ASCII or MIDI formats. TablEdit can open and import ASCII, MIDI, ABC, TabRite, and Tabestry files. This makes it easy to proof your tab or familiarize yourself with a tune. It also plays back tabs through a MIDI device (or the internal PC speaker if you don't have a sound card). TablEdit is a handy and comprehensive program for creating and listening to tablature or sheet music for mandolin, guitar, bass and other instruments.Īs a tablature editor, it produces and prints tabs and musical notation staves.
